A four-door Porsche: genuine sports-car pace and steering in a luxury GT body. Expensive to run, hugely satisfying to own when the right example is chosen.

Porsche's first four-door GT. The naturally aspirated 4.8 V8 in S, 4S and GTS is the enthusiast's engine; the Turbo is astonishingly fast; the Diesel is the sensible high-mileage cruiser with Audi mechanicals. The 2013 facelift brought a prettier rear end and, controversially, a V6 twin-turbo for the S/4S. The GTS is the collector's pick: V8, air suspension, Sport Chrono and PSE as standard.

The car the first Panamera should have been: elegant proportions, a modern 12-inch PCM, an 8-speed PDK, and engines from a 330 hp V6 to a 700 hp hybrid. The Sport Turismo shooting brake and the Executive long-wheelbase broaden the range. 4S (2.9 V6 twin-turbo) is the sweet spot; GTS and Turbo have the 4.0 V8.

Third-generation Panamera with a heavily hybrid-led range, Porsche Active Ride suspension as the headline option and a fully digital cabin. Still rare on the Polish used market; most examples are nearly new dealer stock.
