Big, comfortable and undervalued: a lot of car per złoty, with sensible diesels and a huge estate. The Mk4 is the cheap long-distance bargain; the Mk5 is the quiet cruiser.

Enormous, comfortable and cheap. The 2.0 TDCi (PSA DW10) is the mainstream diesel, fine with maintenance; the 1.8 TDCi Lynx is tough; the 2.0/2.3 petrols are durable and thirsty; the 2.5 T five-cylinder is the enthusiast's one. Rust is minor. A very good 15,000–25,000 PLN family car.

The Fusion-based Mk5: quiet, spacious, well equipped (LED lights, adaptive cruise) and cheap for what it is. 2.0 TDCi 150/180 and the later EcoBlue with the 8-speed are the mainstream; the Hybrid sedan/Kombi is a Polish taxi favourite; 1.5 EcoBoost is the sensible petrol. Vignale is the luxury trim.
