Generation 1 2016–2024
Volvo's flagship on the SPA platform: Thor's Hammer lights, a portrait Sensus touchscreen and some of the best seats in any car. Every engine is a 2.0 four-cylinder, from the D3 diesel to the T8 plug-in hybrid. In Poland the V90 estate outsells the S90 sedan several times over, the D4 190 dominated the first years and the B5 petrol mild hybrid took over after 2020. The V90 Cross Country adds ride height, cladding and all-wheel drive. Volvo wound the pair down for Europe and by 2026 neither is offered new in Poland, which makes late Plus/Ultimate cars the last of the line.

Watch out: Not usually misused; sellers sometimes describe a Momentum with leather and 12.3-inch display as Inscription.

Polish market
The V90 estate dominates Polish supply; S90 sedans are far rarer and sell for less. Early years are mostly D4 imports from Germany and Sweden plus Polish fleet returns; from 2020 the B5 petrol mild hybrid takes over and diesels thin out. Cross Country carries a premium of 10–15% over an equivalent V90. Inscription with air suspension and Webasto is the spec buyers chase.

Later cars are much better but the engine remains sensitive to oil quality and change intervals.Check: Check the oil level is not above max and does not smell of diesel; ask for injector history and a run of regular oil changes with invoices.
