The comfort-first executive car: the quiet, long-legged alternative to a 5 Series or A6, with a huge estate and the widest engine range on the Polish market.

The W212 restored Mercedes' reputation for solidity after the W211. Four-cylinder CDI diesels (E 200/220/250) are the volume cars; the OM642 V6 in the E 350 CDI is the smooth long-distance engine; the facelift brought the single-headlight face, LED lights and modern assistance. The S212 estate is the biggest in the class. Early OM651 injector and chain issues, Airmatic ageing and the 7G-Tronic conductor plate are the things to check.

The W213 brought S-Class technology down a class: the Widescreen cockpit, Multibeam LED, Drive Pilot assistance and Air Body Control. Diesels moved to the OM654 (2.0 four) and OM656 (3.0 inline-six), both excellent. E 220 d dominates supply; E 350 d / E 400 d are the smooth long-distance engines; E 53 and E 63 S are the AMGs. Sixth generation with the MBUX Superscreen, all engines electrified (48V or plug-in) and a strongly digital cabin. Mostly nearly-new dealer stock in Poland.
